Bearing Tailstocks

Home | Parts & Components | Tailstocks | Bearing Tailstocks

A bearing type tailstock is generally used as a slave support to a rotary table, when mounting long products or a frame between centres where a higher level of support or rigidity is required when machining. These units would be matched in centre height to the rotary table, not necessarily having the same faceplate size or pattern of the rotary table end and can be with or without an integral brake. The braked units will have an integral brake similar in operation to the rotary table and can be purchased either with pneumatic or hydraulic braking systems so that the services required can be connected in conjunction or linked directly from the rotary table brake to give a very rigid dual locking system. These units are particularly effective when machining near the tailstock end, having a large diameter bearing and integral brake, which means a massive improvement over a conventional style tailstock as far as rigidity or bounce and therefore machining surface finish and component tolerance is concerned. These are far superior in performance to any conventional tailstock device. We have tried to make the selection easy by providing part numbers that refer directly to the centre height, so for example, a unit with the part number that includes the number 150, means the centre height is 150mm. If you cannot find the size you are looking for, we can provide a small raiser plate to match any height you may be looking to achieve to a slightly smaller unit.If you would like any technical assistance whilst selecting the tailstock you require, please click on our chat icon for an immediate response during standard UK business hours. Alternatively you can email us at technicalsupport@cncrotary.com

Thanks for the quick response as usual, I don’t know how I’d manage without you!

You really have been a huge help through all of this. I am sure you must have lots of return business. Great job!

We have already installed the table in the machine and we are pleased with your work.
